Catechist Certification Training

Jose Amaya, Director of Faith Formation for the Archdiocese of Military Services AMS will come to Joint Base Lewis McChord in JBLM, WA (near Tacoma) with a two-day training for catechists, either new or already certified. On August 18 Friday evening and during the day on Saturday August 19, he will provide this two-day training, At the end of the event, participants will have their new 3 year Catechetical certification, or if already certified--a renewal for 3 years Who may attend? Participants are Catholics who would like to teach the faith at a military base. This includes active duty, retired, and family members. Please send any questions to andrea.flores33.ctr@army.mil. Designated Offering – World Mission Sunday

TODAY IS WORLD MISSION SUNDAY. We celebrate this day by remembering our baptismal call to bring the Gospel to all! The collection today for the Society for the Propagation of the Faith supports the work and witness of the Mission Church, as it provides for priests, religious and lay leaders who offer the Lord’s mercy and concrete help to the most vulnerable communities in the Pope’s missions.
